39 weeks and Miserable?... Never even crossed my mind.

Does this face read miserable to you? Ha I'm really trying not to complain and just go with the flow but there just comes a point when you're thinking, "COME ON!!" I went to the baby doc on Thursday and I dilated an entire HALF centimeter from the last time I was there! I was a little disappointed but being sad won't hurry things along so I'm trying to keep a smile on. My Dr. gave us an estimate of her size and said maybe about 7.5lbs. I think that sounds alright. He said he'd be suprised if she came out 8lbs. So we will just have to see how close he really is.
I have been having a lot more contractions lately it seems and so hopefully that means good things as far as progression goes. But I am 90% sure she's going to come sometime this week. (Ha! Just wait, I'll be back next week going over my due date or something.) But it will all be wonderful so we will keep you posted.

Fun in the Snow!

Yesterday, Aaron and I had the opportunity to babysit my nephew and niece. They were with us for about 7 hours and you can imagine what is like being a little kid, cooped up in a tiny apartment for that long. So I thought it would be a good idea to go outside and play in the snow.
Aaron was so great to help me out and was the life of the party (I guess you would call it) for our snow fun. So thanks Aaron for being such a great uncle! :)

Paityn & Aaron on our walk around the neighborhood.

Wyler's face is priceless in this one and I just thought it was too cute to not post.

Like I said, Life of the Party. EVen though she looks a little uncomfortable, the kids really did have a fun time. Ha

Cute Wyler and yet another priceless cheese for the camera.

Full Term & Hangin' In There!

Look at that!! Can you see how far my belly sticks out?! Wowsers is all I gotta say. I had an appt this morning with my Dr. and he checked me and I'm at a whopping 1cm and 75% effaced!! YAY! haha Ok so that's not very far, but nevertheless, it is still progress. So we will see what happens in the near future.

This is a beautiful portrait picture my friend Kasey took of me. Ha I think it's funny. (This is what I do at work all day, stare at my belly.)

37 Weeks and a goofy smile. My cheeks are as red as my jacket... that happens when I get contractions. I get these intense hot flashes! I'm a hot mama. Ha

Giddy Up at the Texas Roadhouse

Aaron and I went on a date Saturday night, just the two of us. We decided that our days of freedom were about to end, with school starting on Monday and having a baby and all. :) Ha But we had a gift certificate to Texas Roadhouse and two movie tickets so it was a lot of fun. Please notice in this pic the "Outhouse" sign hanging right behind Aaron's head. Ha I thought it was funny.
Two lovebirds. We were SO stinking full. (We kinda ate like Kings and it was delightful.) But we were so stuffed that it was hard to feel comfy while watching the movie in the theatre. We saw Sherlock Holmes, good movie! Anyway, it was a fun date and now school has started and we are back to the grind. :) Go Aggies.

"Head Down and Ready to Launch"

First of all, my work rocks and I consider myself so lucky to have found this job. I have the most thoughtful co-workers ever and a very generous boss. I get some maternity leave and then when I come back, the baby gets to come with me for 6 months. You don't see that very often now do ya! This past Tuesday, my co-workers threw me a shower and bought me lunch. They gave me that dang cute little giraffe that winds up and plays a lullaby. (I had a turtle when I was a little girl and that's what it made me think of.) Brannon made this stinkin' cute wipes container (the purple and green thing I'm holding) and Kasey (also the girl who takes my weekly belly pics) put together an entire scrapbook for her! She used pics from ultrasounds and my belly pics and then she made it so we have room to continue more pics once she arrives. (She even made a page with her name on it... OLIVIA. Haha - That was her way of putting her word in on what we should name her.) But it's a way sweet book.
And last but not least, let's just say that I will be "pumpin' in style!" Lots of my co-workers all went in on this way nice breast pump for me to have. I'll be honest, I have no idea how to use it, but I know it will be so good to have, especially with my busy schedule. And so I'd just like to thank everyone who is so thoughtful and helping Aaron and I out in so many ways. Thanks guys! :)
And I can't believe I actually put this picture up (because I think I look hideous) but this is the 36 week picture. And as far as the baby status goes, I went to the Dr. today and as you can tell from my title, those were his exact words. "Well, the babies head is down and ready to launch!" Ha I thought it was funny and also relieving because I was planning for the baby to be in the most awkward position and then I'd have to have a C-section. So we're all good! Heartbeat is 160 beats per minute. And my belly measured 38cm which is just a tiny bit ahead of schedule -but nothing too durastic. Next Thurs. he will check to see if my cervix is actually dialating and making progress. But for now... I guess we're ready to launch!? :)

Friends & Family Baby Shower!!!

First of all thanks to everyone who came to my shower. As you can see below, our family made quite the haul and we feel so blessed to have so much love and support behind us. I also need to thank my sister-in-laws and mom who put this shower on. Lindsey always goes above and beyond to put on the cutest showers. You might notice some cute flower balloons that she does and all the food and my family just takes good care of me. So thanks you guys!

Here are some of the things off the top of my head that I received:
Baby Blankets, CLOTHES galore :), bathtubs, a sweet bumbo chair, a diaper genie, a way sweet diaper bag, diapers, and I am sure there was a lot more, but we had a lot of fun.

This is the sweet little blankie that Grandma (my mom) made for the baby. It has Winnie the Pooh and clan all over it and they're all sleeping. Aaron made the final decision when picking out the fabric (because we were being so indecisive) and he said, "That one yells sleepy time on it. In fact, I'm getting tired just looking at it! It's perfect for a baby." So thank you for the sweet quilt Grandma Petersen!

These two little princesses helped me open all my presents. They were very good helpers at the shower. I think in this pic they were drawing me pics as a gift at my baby shower. So thanks for your help Ry and Paige!

What would a shower be without some of your best friends? This is me with Car and Dong (a.k.a. Brittany) Car has been my best friend since 3rd or 4th grade and we went to Snow College together and met Dong, along with many other friends. Now we rarely see each other because some of us are married, some are on missions, and some live in Vegas! But I still appreciate all their friendships and know they're just a phone call (or letter - to all the sister missionaries) away! But it was really good to see my friends at this shower. Thanks for everything you guys!

This is a cute little newborn outfit grandma got her and it is so tiny! I cannot believe there will be an actual baby inside to fill it out in about 4 weeks! If I ever get her room completely put together I also need to post a picture of the beautiful dresser/changing table that Aaron's cousin Nate & his wife Aloha gave us. We are so grateful for them and this generous gift to our family. I started to fill the drawers last night and got pretty giddy about everything. I also think I am getting nervous for everything because on top of being so uncomfortable, my mind would not stop racing when I was trying to go to sleep. Aaron even sang a sweet song to me (he made up all the words) but he was just trying to help me fall asleep. He is so sweet to me. And I'm so grateful that we are where we are today together. Having a baby will be a new and exciting adventure but I know it will all work out with him by my side. So I love you Aaron and you're gonna be a great dad to this little baby girl! :)

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

My sister-in-laws. Lindsey's awesome hairdo! This is probably around 10:30pm or so. We were quite a lively bunch to bring on the New Year's. Can you tell? Well it was probably because we ate so good and were so stuffed that we couldn't move around and party. Mom cooked a huge prime rib roast and it was really tasty. All I can say is I don't know where all my food was fitting inside my stomache that is already crammed full with a baby!

Cute Mom and Dad and Wyler's back because he didn't want to look at me.

Aaron was on the floor with the little kids. Paige was tryin to be so scary... or something?

My great mom who is my best friend and does so much for me. She has so many great attributes and I just hope and pray that I inherit at least some of them to become half the person she is. I know she is kind of freaking out because her baby girl is having a baby girl of her own! But it has been so fun just talking about all the fun pregnancy things, and watching her make quilts I know she is really excited. So thanks to my mom who is always there for me. :) Love ya!

This is my nephew Wyler and he is so stinking cute. Wyler was diagnosed with Autism when he was about 3 years old. I guarantee to anyone reading this that if you met the kid, your heart would probably just melt. He loves Star Wars and Santa brought him a "big white helmet" that is all about Star Wars. My brother (his dad) said he had never seen Wyler happier on Christmas morning than this one. :)

So I just realized there aren't too many pictures of Christmas, but that is probably because we didn't have a camera until our dear friend Santa Clause dropped one off to us on Christmas morning! However, I did get a snapshot of the gift I not only gave to Aaron but made for him.

So what do you think? I definitely have to thank my friend/co-worker who helped me put it together. It looks so cute in her room. It will look even more cute with a picture of Aaron and his little princess! :)
Aaron's first reaction was a little confused when he just saw pinks and flowers and all that cute girl stuff. But he really liked it once I explained it was for her room and not somewhere like his office. :)

Feelin good at 35 weeks!

Here I am at 35 weeks. It's pretty crazy when you can count the remaining weeks down on one hand. But I think she just keeps growing and growing allowing my belly to continue to grow and grow! But I guess I won't complain because if she's growing then that should mean good things about her health which is really what matters. We have a lot of exciting things coming up. For one, my 36 week appointment is Friday morning. That is where they check you to see what position the baby is in, and to see if your body is starting to get ready for the baby to come out! I won't lie, I'm a little nervous. I can just hear him now, "Oh looky there! You're baby is ready to come out now!!" I think both Aaron and I would poop our pants. :) And then that night along with Saturday morning, we are going to go to the Labor Class at the hospital... that is right, we're gonna learn how to breathe, and take a tour of the hospital! It should be pretty fun. I'll have to let you know how that goes. Until then, baby and I are just hanging in there.
